Woodburn Parent Partnership Fundraisers
Thank you to our Parent Partnership fundraising group who organised a fantastic ‘Spring
Fling’ Disco for our Primary 3 – 6 children. It was very well attended. Please keep
Saturday 2nd June in your diary for the Woodburn Summer Fair, more information to follow
after the holidays.
Unwelcome Visitors
We have had several reports about headlice. Please check your child’s hair regularly.
Go to http://www.chc.org/index.cfm for further advice or pick up the leaflet available in
our entrance area.
Nursery Plea – Dressing Up Clothes
The Nursery is in the process of developing their music area and having consulted with
the children, they would love to add to the dressing up! They would greatly appreciate
donations of any of the following items:-
Hats, chiffon scarves, leotards/tutus, party dresses (adults and children), waistcoats,
blazers, multicultural clothing and any other dance related clothing.
Thank you very much in advance for helping to inspire budding little dancers, musicians,
actors and actresses!

School open tomorrow. Please ensure children have warm winter clothing and suitable footwear. Children to come into school on arrival. Parking may be tricky, no child tomorrow will be marked late, this will allow us to take our time to get everyone back in safely. Thanks.
A big thanks to all who volunteered and to Midlothian Council who have already cleared the paths, our snow clearing efforts are no longer needed. Thanks again
Mr Roe and Midlothian Council have been out clearing paths and the car park, great work!! It would be great if the two paths in the pictures could also be cleared to get everyone back into school safely on Monday. If anyone has a shovel and some muscle to spare, please meet at Woodburn PS tomorrow at 11.30am. Thank you!
Due to the ongoing severe weather and the Met Office amber warning that will be in place tomorrow morning, all schools and nurseries in Midlothian will remain closed on Friday, 2 March. We hope to open as normal on Monday. Please continue to check the website for further updates.
