Here at Woodburn we aim to create a welcoming and safe nursery environment based upon caring, trust and mutual respect. We work closely with families, the Family Learning Centre and other professionals to ensure each child has the best possible start to school life.

We currently have two rooms within our ELC; our part time room called the Little Seedlings and our full time room called the Little Acorns. Each room accommodates 40 children at any one time. Although the rooms are separated by a same gate, our children access either space as well as the outside area. Throughout the week our children visit the library, gym hall and dining hall within the school.

We use the local woods and Vogrie Early Years Centre each week to allow the children to explore, investigate and develop their learning outdoors.

We have a newly installed Sensory Room which the children can access throughout their day within nursery.
